Winter Camp FAQ's



​How old do you have to be to attend GOYA Winter Camp?                          
GOYA Winter Camp is for all campers currently in grades 6-12.      

Where is GOYA Winter Camp?                                      
At the St. Methodios Faith and Heritage Center.
329 Camp Merrimac Road, Contoocook, NH 03229


When is GOYA Winter Camp?                    
GOYA Winter Camp begins at 6:00 pm Friday, February 15th and ends at 12:00 pm Monday, February 18th.

When should campers arrive and depart GOYA Winter camp?                    
GOYA Winter Camp registration is at 6pm  Friday, February 15th.
Campers should be picked up at 1:00 pm Monday, February 18th.


What is included in GOYA Winter Camp?                   
GOYA Winter Camp includes 3 evenings, and 2 full days in our program.
     Saturday will be spent at camp participating in services, sessions and activities.  
     Sunday there will be Liturgy and an off-site trip to Pat's Peak Mountain for skiing, snowboarding, tubing and a dance in our
     
    reserved section of the lodge. 

How much does GOYA Winter Camp cost?                  
GOYA Winter Camp is $225 per camper before January 1st.
     ​On January 1st, the price will increase to $250. 
This covers all mentioned activities, as well as a lift ticket or tubing ticket,  rentals at the mountain.


Where will my camper stay at Winter Camp?                    
Campers will stay in our cabins, which are heated and winter ready!

Will my camper need extra spending money?                  
Campers can bring extra money to use in the lodge at the ski mountain.
A meal will be provided by us at the mountain, however campers do enjoy purchasing extra snacks during the day.


Does my child have to know how to ski or snowboard to go to GOYA Winter Camp?                    
No, while many campers take advantage of the skiing and snowboarding aspect of the weekend campers can choose to tube or stay in our reserved section of the lodge where there will be games, food, karaoke and a dance to end our evening.

Does my child need to have their own equipment to ski or snowboard?                    
No, campers can  rent equipment at Pat's Peak Mountain for no additional charge.
All campers are required to wear a helmet while skiing and snowboarding, helmets are included in rentals. 


Are campers permitted to have cell phones or other electronic devices at camp?                    
No, Camp is a place to disconnect, recharge, reconnect , and retreat from our daily routines. Any electronic devices brought to camp will be collected by staff members. Campers are encouraged to leave devices at home.
