"As a camper and a staff member, MBC has become my home. That excited feeling you get driving down the dirt road as a camper is only amplified as a staff member. MBC is such a special place and serving at camp has given me some of my best friends and memories, strengthened my faith, and allowed me to strengthen the faith of others. " -Allie Shea, MBC Staff Member
MBC NEEDS YOU THIS SUMMER!
Due to COVID-19, MBC staffing will take place a little differently than ever before! Please see below for specific information on the various staff positions we have available this summer!
Serving as a staff member at MBC is cited by hundreds of young adults as one of the most transformative and rewarding experiences of their life. Hundreds of youth pass through MBC’s doors each year, and it is the staff members who serve them who have the biggest impact on their lives. As a staff member, you will be responsible for the formation, fun, and safety of youth 8-18 years old from across New England, all while developing your own faith, fostering new friendships, and having the best summer of your life! In addition to this incredible experience, being a staff member at MBC is a great resume builder that employers love to see in their applicants!
Cabin Staff (limited spots available due to COVID-19 restrictions) Our Staff serve as mentors to a group of 8-15 campers with whom they will spend an entire week of camp. Applicants must have a genuine desire to work with children and a desire to lead campers in an Orthodox setting, bringing them closer to Christ. All staff are expected to set an example, and actively participate in all planned activities. Rice Krispie The Rice Krispies serve as support staff for our entire MBC Program. They are instrumental with facilitation of events including set up, break down, material management, and work closely with the Program Director to ensure that camp runs smoothly.
Waterfront Coordinator Must be 21 years or older. Our waterfront coordinator should be great at communicating with their peers and must have strong leadership qualities. Having a lifeguard certification and/or NH boating license is a plus but not mandatory (We can help the right candidate obtain these). The Waterfront Coordinator will help facilitate all activities at the Waterfront during halftime each day. The Waterfront Coordinator will support staff in charge of canoeing, dock duties, tubing and the blob, as well as communicate with our lifeguard team at the lake. The Waterfront Coordinator will work with the Program Director in regards to staffing Waterfront duties. They will also be at all swim test sessions to become familiar with all campers abilities. In addition to waterfront responsibilities, the Waterfront Coordinator will live and work in cabins just like all cabin staff positions and participate in sessions, evening activities & camper care etc.
Virtual Program Staff Given the success of Virtual Camp in 2020, families and clergy across the metropolis have called for more virtual content offerings. Virtual Program staff will help develop and execute a virtual program that may run together with and/or apart from the main summer camp program.
Media Team The Media Team will be responsible for documenting the MBC experience through capturing pictures and taking video to be used on social media and our website. The Media Team will have an expanded opportunity to take MBC communications to a new level.
