MBC  Offers  an  orthodox  christian  summer  camp  experience  in  the  beautiful  foothills  of  the  white  mountains

Picture
A classic, New England summer camp experience, in an Orthodox Christian community. MBC offers overnight summer camp programming for campers entering grades 3-12 (ages 8-18).

Sessions are 6 days each (Monday - Sunday), and 5 separate sessions are offered each summer. See our Dates & Rates page for additional details.

Serving as a model across the nation for Orthodox summer camps, MBC promises a safe, fun-filled, and life changing experience. Under the guidance of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, and the New Hampshire Summer Camp Association, MBC's highly trained staff guide campers through a faith-filled and enriching week, at the beautiful campground and facilities in Contoocook, NH.

In  order  to  attend  mbc,  campers  should:

  • Be open to a Christ-centered, fun-filled, overnight camp experience
  • Consistently follow directions for safety
  • Manage their belongings and themselves in a communal living environment
  • Maintain personal hygiene independently

One of MBC's goals is to give every young person a meaningful camp experience. Visit our Camper Support page to learn more about accommodations. As always, feel free to reach out to the camp office to discuss any individual needs.
We've seen tremendous growth in our children from their time at MBC. They come home each summer transformed and renewed in their faith, with beautiful, long lasting friendships, and full of stories of their fun week. We are so thankful to MBC for giving our children this incredible experience." -MBC PARENT

Theme  based  learning

Picture

Each year, the MBC program is structured around a theme, which informs Orthodox Life sessions, homilies from clergy, conversations amongst the cabin, and the overall ethos of the program over the course of the theme year.
The theme is carefully selected to support young people in understanding, applying, and living their faith in their daily life.

MBC's  2024  Theme:

"Wisdom, Arise!"

Taken from the divine services, this call reminds us to spiritually arise, and attend to the wisdom of the Church. By heeding this call, we are reminded to "arise" fully into our lives, gleaning the wisdom of the church through the scriptures, the Liturgy, and the lives of the saints. This year, campers will have the opportunity to "Arise!" in their spiritual life and learn together, alongside our clergy, leadership team, and staff, as they step into the wisdom of Christ's Church.

We  believe  in  the  power  of  summer  camp

The evidence is clear - summer camp has tremendous benefits. From learning to live with greater independence, share space with others, effectively communicate, solve problems, develop leadership skills, learn about the great outdoors, form strong bonds with peers and incredible relationships with mentors, the benefits are truly endless. Add to that instruction in the faith, opportunities for spiritual growth, and living in an authentically Orthodox Christian community, by allowing our young people to experience camp, we are providing them with tools and resources that will be vital for their future; both as community members, and Christians.
