Effective Date: June 26, 2025
Applies to all users, families, staff, and participants of the Metropolis of Boston Camp (“MBC”), a ministry of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston.
Privacy PolicyInformation We CollectWe may collect the following types of information from families, campers, staff, and website visitors:
  • Identifying Information: Name, home address, email address, phone number
  • Demographic Information: Age, grade, school
  • Family/Household Information: Parent/guardian names, relationships, household composition
  • Employment Information: Employer name, occupation, and employment details
  • Financial Information: Payment methods, income data, and tax return info used for financial aid
  • Health and Medical Information: Medical conditions, immunizations, insurance info, and medications
  • User Preferences: Communication preferences and newsletter signups
  • Other Submitted Information: Any additional info voluntarily submitted to us
We also collect technical and usage data using cookies, server logs, and tools like Google Analytics.

How We Use the InformationWe use your information for the following purposes:
  • Communicating with families, guardians, staff, and campers
  • Managing registration, payments, health needs, and scheduling
  • Evaluating financial aid applications
  • Supporting camper health and safety
  • Sending important program and arrival/departure updates (via email or SMS)
  • Managing internal staff onboarding and administration
  • Improving our website and user experience
Mobile Messaging Notice:
We do not use text messaging for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messages are used solely for essential updates related to participation, health, logistics, and compliance. No mobile information (including phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or consent) will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Subcontractors may access such data only to provide essential support services (e.g., customer service, messaging platforms).
All other use cases exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent.
Information SharingWe may share your information only with trusted parties under the following conditions:
  • Medical information with licensed medical professionals in urgent or necessary treatment scenarios
  • Financial information with:
    • The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, and/or
    • An individual or family’s home parish (with consent) for financial aid purposes

    • The Saint Methodios Faith and Heritage Center
    • The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston
    • The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America
    • Ministry partners solely for program administration and church outreach
We do not sell personal data and limit disclosures to mission-aligned, confidential use.

  • Campminder – Camper and family information management (View Policy)
  • Shopify – E-commerce/payment handling (View Policy)
  • Cliq – Internal team communications (View Policy)
  • Google Analytics – Website analytics (View Policy)
Third-party sites have their own privacy terms, which we encourage you to review.

Cookies & AnalyticsWe use cookies and analytics tools to improve our website. This includes:

No personal identifiers are linked to analytics data.

Twilio may suspend services if its AUP is violated. MBC is responsible for ensuring compliance by all users of our platforms, including camp families, staff, and volunteers.

Changes to This PolicyWe reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy and Terms of Use at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or website updates. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes agreement to the revised terms.
