Camp Policies & Procedures
Our goal is to share as much information as possible with families in an effort to answer your questions and help prepare you and your child for a successful camp experience! We realize that placing your child in our care is an enormous act of trust, and we are so thankful to the thousands of children and families that have come through our doors and experienced the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the communion of the Holy Spirit in our embrace.
In order to ensure camp can run smoothly and effectively, some of our primary policies are shared below. As always, please reach out directly to our camp office with any questions!

Discipline & Behavior Responses
- Once registration opens, we encourage families to register ASAP. We are unable to hold spaces for individual campers or families.
- Any campers who register after spaces have filled will be placed on a waitlist.
- Campers are admitted from the waitlist in the order in which they registered.
- In the event of multiple simultaneous waitlist registrations, we will prioritize first-time campers, and campers who have only registered for one week of camp.
- All campers MUST have up to date Health Forms & Immunization Forms prior to arriving to camp. Forms must be submitted by May 15. Please understand we require these forms in order to ensure the safety of your camper, and those around them, to prepare to welcome them to camp.
Finances & Billing
- An initial deposit is required at registration ($200) for summer camp, and the balance will be charged to the card on file on May 15.
- Fall and Winter Camp fees should be paid in full at registration.
- In the event of financial hardship, please select "Applying for Financial Aid" through the registration process. No credit card information will be collected. Please see our Registration and Financial Aid page for additional details.
- In the event that a camper must withdraw from the session, our policy is to hold the payment as credit in the camper's account, to be applied to future camp sessions.
Illness
- In the event of an illness or injury prior to the start of the camp session, please reach out to our office to be connected with our medical staff and leadership team to discuss options. Campers MUST be 24 hours fever free (without medication) prior to arriving at camp.
- In the event of an illness or injury during the camp session, families will be informed as soon as possible. Our consulting physician and any outside care providers will make the determination of the camper's ability to remain at camp.
- Please visit our Health and Safety page for additional information.
Camper Communication
- At MBC, our goal is disconnection from the chaos of the world (social media, work, school), and authentic connection with Jesus Christ through one another. As such, we maintain a no-technology policy at camp. Year after year, our campers report how much they love the experience of true disconnection!
- Families are welcome to email their camper through the main office, with their camper's name in the subject line, or send physical mail. Mail will be delivered daily.
- Campers are encouraged to send notes and letters home sharing their experiences, and are welcome to bring stamps and stationary with them!
- We are happy to store and deliver packages and mail for birthdays and other special events during the week.
- Campers are not permitted to call home, and families are not able to call and speak to their child during the camp session. We encourage families to explore our Preparing for Camp page to learn more about managing homesickness, and ask for your trust in our expertise over many, many years of supporting campers in entering our program. As always, please reach out to the office with any additional questions.
Discipline & Behavior Responses
- The six pillars (Openness, Honesty, Trust, Respect, Forgiveness, and Love) guide everything we do at MBC, and must be upheld by all staff and campers. Breaking of the pillars is taken very seriously at MBC.
- Any behavioral concerns will be addressed by the cabin staff, leadership team, and camp director as needed. Families will be notified of any serious concerns as soon as possible.
- MBC has a zero tolerance policy for property destruction, bullying, or physical altercations. Any campers participating in the above will be asked to leave camp, and future attendance will be discussed with the family and other appropriate parties.
