Registration & cost
Registration opens Friday, January 31. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, so please register early to ensure your space is reserved!
We recognize that a weekend away may be restful for some, and stressful for others, so we're offering opportunities for Day, Overnight, or Full Weekend registration. We are incredibly thankful that the majority of the costs of the retreat are being offset by a grant through the Thriving Congregations Initiative, who have prioritized supporting individuals with disabilities in the church.
We are pleased to offer registration at 70% below the true cost of operations. Costs include all meals, lodging, and activities. Our hope is that finances will not pose a barrier to any family hoping to attend; please reach out to our camp office to discuss financial assistance, or if your family size differs from what is listed below.

Our speakersFr. Stephen and Pani Daria Loposky have worked together in Church ministry since teaching church school together before they were married. They have been married for 28 years and have engaged a variety of ministries together including Parish ministry, Camp ministry, Youth ministry and Family ministry (including, and especially, their own family!) in the Carpatho-Russian Diocese in North America. They have worked together, side-by-side, learning and growing up together in our Faith as they have helped their children and others to do so at the same time in the ways God has called them to. Fr. Stephen’s professional background was in Accounting/Banking before Seminary. Pani Daria’s professional background was in Early Childhood Development. Between the two of them, they have been involved in one way or another with Head Start Programs, after-school programs, the Orthodox Youth Directors and Camp Directors in North America, developing new and unique Youth and Camp Programs, serving on a variety of Boards including those involved with caring for children and adults with unique needs, hospitality work in the catering and restaurant business, and curriculum development at the parish, Diocesan and Camp levels. In the 30+ years working together in and for the Church, they have been blessed also to have 4 children, a son who was recently married, and a son who is an earthly angel. They look forward to sharing part of their own “story” with you and learning about how God has worked in your own “story”.

Food & Allergies: What can the kitchen accommodate?
MBC is a nut-free camp program, and the kitchen can easily accommodate nut-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free diets. Fasting and non-fasting foods will be provided. Please reach out to the office to discuss any other needs. Families are welcome to bring supplemental or preferred foods to store in the cafeteria or kitchen as needed, and can access a toaster over and/or microwave for simple food preparation.
Staff & Support: How will staff be equipped to support my child?
Upon registering, you will be asked a number of questions about your child's support needs and preferences, which will be used to match them to an appropriate support person. For example, an AAC user would be matched with a professional or paraprofessional who is well-versed in supporting AAC use. Our camper support coordinator is more than happy to meet with you and discuss specific needs, behavior support plans, or any other resources you'd like to share.
Families are welcome to share any resources or materials that have been developed for school or home settings. Activities will be flexible and allow for families to step in and out of the program as needed, however, we hope that you will feel fully confident in our support team and be able to fully engage in the parent sessions as they're scheduled.
If you're interested in having a PCA join your family for the weekend to support your child, please reach out to our office to discuss those logistics.

Physical spaces: What limitations exist in the space?
The majority of our buildings on the campgrounds are equipped with ramps and ADA accessible bathrooms. Due to the nature of camp, some of our roads are unpaved (dirt/gravel), which can pose a challenge for some mobility devices. We do have a golf cart available for those who may need a ride!
Additional Questions?
We will hold a live, virtual Q&A opportunity on Wednesday, February 19 at 8pm for all interested in learning more about the retreat. Please keep an eye on your email for information about that event!
