home away from home
While at MBC, Cabins serve as the camper's home. Cabin mates become brothers and sisters, and staff become trusted mentors and role models. While much of the camp day is spent as a whole community, time together as a cabin is special. Together, young people learn to live communally, and care for shared spaces. They sing, dance, laugh, pray, and grow together as a small family within the MBC family. With the guidance of the staff, leadership team, and clergy, they grow in their faith, in their own relationship with Jesus Christ, and as a whole person. Campers are met with a developmentally appropriate program that supports their needs, and meets them where they are, considering the social experiences of their age group. Throughout this transformative experience, the rhythm of the cabin anchors campers.

Bunk Requests
We understand that coming to camp can be nerve wracking, especially for the first time! We welcome campers to submit bunk requests in their application forms, but remind families that cabins are built by gender, age, and grade. As such, we cannot guarantee bunk requests, and ask families to trust us as we build cabins that are developmentally appropriate, supportive to camper development, and lead by staff skilled in facilitating group dynamics and relationship building. Camp is the perfect place to meet new friends! We ask campers to come to camp with an open mind and willingness to authentically encounter the other incredible young people coming to camp with them.
